Meet Dr. Kim
Dr. King Kim grew up in Beaverton, Oregon just outside of Portland. He graduated from Aloha High School, then obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Dr. Kim then began travelling and working domestically and internationally. He then went on to earn a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and subsequently a certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Kim then completed a fellowship in facial cosmetic surgery in Columbus, Mississippi before moving to Melbourne, Florida to enter private practice.
Dr. Kim is currently on staff at three hospitals: Holmes Regional Medical Center, Wuesthoff Hospital in Rockledge, and Wuesthoff Hospital in Melbourne. His interests include: Repairing facial injuries due to trauma, correcting facial and jaw deformities, facial cosmetic surgery, TMJ surgery, wisdom teeth removal, and dental implant surgery. He is the only oral and maxillofacial fellowship trained facial cosmetic surgeon in central coastal Florida, and is co-author of “Facial Cosmetic Surgery for the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon”, due to be released in 2010. Dr. Kim is also well published in the oral and maxillofacial surgery journals. He also has volunteered his services in Guanaja, Honduras, and Aberdeen, Mississippi. He enjoys doing mission work, and plans to make multiple trips to medically underserved areas.
When not working, Dr. Kim likes to snow ski, scuba dive, golf, play tennis, and participate in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He, his wife, and son live in Rockledge, Florida.
